Liberal Canadians joined their American counterparts in protesting the Trump administration this weekend, with the United States’ northern neighbors calling their demonstration “No Tyrants” instead of “No Kings” since they’re considered a “constitutional monarchy” where British monarch King Charles III is technically the Head of State.
In Toronto, demonstrators chanted, “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA!”
“The fact that they had to rename it to ‘No Tyrants’ in Canada because they have a king as head of state is so funny,” wrote one 𝕏 user.
Several social media users shared footage of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney pledging allegiance to “his majesty King Charles the Third, King of Canada, his heirs and successors.”
Several other prominent 𝕏 accounts mocked the hypocrisy of Canadian leftists.
