President Donald Trump met with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at the White House on Monday to sign an $8.5 billion rare earth minerals deal.

At one point, President Trump took questions from the press, telling a journalist Ukraine could technically still win the war with Russia, but that he doesn’t believe they will.

Regarding China’s President Xi Jinping, POTUS called Taiwan the “apple of his eye” while noting he doesn’t believe the Chinese will invade the nation anytime soon.
When a reporter asked Trump why he doesn’t just “enable Ukraine to finish this war tomorrow,” he responded by saying she doesn’t know what she’s talking about and that it’s “more complicated than that.”
“It sounds easy, but we’re in the process of trying to make a deal,” he said.
