The biological male posing as a woman who has made national headlines this week for demanding he be allowed in the female locker room and restroom at a Los Angles Gold’s Gym location joined TMZ on Wednesday to play the victim after he was banned from the gym.
The trans person, “Alexis” Black – whose real name is Grant Freeman – was filmed by rapper Tish Hyman in the women’s bathroom and later entering the women’s locker room in a separate video.
After a verbal altercation, both Freeman and Hyman were escorted out of the Gold’s Gym and banned from returning.
Appearing on TMZ, where he was referred to as “Alexis”, Freeman said he’d felt he was a girl since the age of eight, yet only started transitioning and using hormones “this year in February.”
Asked if he’s had his genitals surgically removed, Freeman said he’s about a year out from that stage of the transition.
When TMZ asked the trans biological male if he can understand why Hyman is uncomfortable with seeing male genitalia in the female locker room, he answered, “I certainly do not understand it but I do get the notion of the fearmongering that she’s perpetuating.”
After it was suggested that the gym could have built a third locker room for trans members, Freeman scoffed at the idea and said they’d have to build two extra locker rooms because some people transition from male to female while others go from female to male.
Failing to realize the hypocrisy of his statement, Freeman said, “You’re not going to put a trans woman with a trans man just because we’re trans, that seems like a whole new envelope of discrimination.”
Regarding whether or not he has a right to use the women’s restroom, he said, “I know that I’m a woman,” and that in order to build a third bathroom just for trans gym members, “People would have to have the level of comfortability within themself that I do. Not everyone possesses this much self-feminine power, it just doesn’t happen, not under this patriarchal system that we’ve been living so long.”
The TMZ hosts then noted all gyms will have to tackle this issue going forward, with Freeman hilariously admitting, “Yeah, I’ve been kicked out of Planet Fitness and Crunch!”
Journalists dug into Freeman’s background and learned he’s been charged with possession of and trafficking cocaine as well as domestic abuse for allegedly hitting his ex-wife’s head against a toilet seat.
Also, in a disturbing revelation, it appears as if Grant took his ex-wife’s name “Alexis” as his new female moniker.
