Actress Sydney Sweeney stood by her American Eagle jeans ad this week, refusing to cave after a reporter pressed her on claims it promoted white genetic superiority.

Sweeney was asked to address left-wing criticisms that the ad made an offensive joke about eugenics and white supremacism in an interview this week with GQ journalist Katherine Stoeffel.

“The criticism of the content, which was basically that, maybe specifically in this political climate, like, white people shouldn’t joke about genetic superiority, like that was kind of like the criticism, broadly speaking, and since you are talking about this, I just wanted to give you an opportunity to talk about that specifically,” Stoeffel told Sweeney.

However, Sweeney didn’t take the bait and respectfully declined, saying, “I think that when I have an issue that I want to speak about, people will hear.”

Social media users lauded the actress’s refusal to cave to the woke mob, with many simply sharing side-by-side photos of the journalist’s smug posturing and Sweeney’s stone-cold glare.

“Sydney Sweeney has more balls than the Heritage Foundation guy,” commented Infowars War Room host Harrison Smith, remarking on Heritage President Kevin Roberts’ recent vacillation on his organization’s defense of Tucker Carlson.

Back in July, Sweeney outraged the left by starring in several American Eagle jean advertisements, which liberals claimed were white supremacist propaganda.

In another segment of the interview, Sweeney confirmed she wasn’t concerned about being cancelled over what she thinks on certain issues.

“You’ve made a really good case for keeping your thoughts and your life separate from that work, but the risk is that, you know, there’s a chance that somebody will get some idea about what you think, about certain issues, and feel like I don’t want to see… because of that. Like, do you worry about that?” the reporter asked.

“No,” Sweeney bluntly replied.

The actress’s refusal to cede ground and appease the ridiculous outrage mob over her ad is refreshing – especially when so many before her have caved to less pressure.
