An ad for Victoria’s Secret upcoming fashion show “secretly” featured a “transgender woman,” alongside biologically female models.
While Victoria’s Secret ads are typically head-turning, their Fashion Show 2025 runway ad, published Tuesday on social media, is raising eyebrows after sneakily inserting trans model Alex Consani amongst other notable Angels.
“The first six angels hitting the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2025 runway : Adriana Lima, Alex Consani, Anok Yai, Joan Smalls, Lily Aldridge & Yumi Nu,” the lingerie brand captioned an X post, making no mention of Consani’s transgender status.
The ad did not fool astute social media users, who called out the once-iconic brand over its sly attempt to slip in the trans model.
🤢🤮 No normal person wants to see a man modeling women’s wear. 🤢🤮

I’d like to buy something for my wife, any non woke garbage companies I should shop with?

I have no interest in shopping with a company that advertises women’s underwear on a man. Gross.
Yall are fucked up in the head. Why do you have a dude playing dress up like a female? There are plenty of beautiful women XX avail. Hope you go out of biz permanently…

That's a man, man. You obviously don't employ a biologist on staff.

Others highlighted the trans man took a job from an actual female model.
Great another dude taking a woman’s job. Why to isolate your customer base with woman face.

“Where are Candice, Doutzen, Daniela, and Alessandra? The only blond you have pictured is Alex, who is a dude!” another person commented, according to Red State.
To be clear, the idea of excluding trans models from runway shows was once espoused by Victoria’s Secret chief marketing officer Ed Razek, who took flak in 2018 after saying he would not consider a “transsexual” for the company’s annual event.
“Does the brand think about diversity? Yes. Do we offer larger sizes? Yes… Shouldn’t you have transsexuals in the show? No. No, I don’t think we should,” Razek said.
Razek resigned from the company the following year after backlash over his comments and reported associations with Jeffrey Epstein.
Fast-forward five years later, and the 2024 fashion show went on to feature two transgender models, Consani and Valentina Sampaio.
Efforts to appease the woke left come as the company has been struggling with declining sales over the past four years.

Can Victoria’s Secret defy the “go woke, go broke” mantra? Or will they go the way of Bud Light?
