Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) is under federal investigation for allegedly urging US servicemembers to disobey orders.
The Department of War on Monday announced the senator, who served as a captain in the US Navy, is being “recalled to active duty for court-martial proceedings or administrative measures” due to “serious allegations of misconduct.
“The Department of War reminds all individuals that military retirees remain subject to the UCMJ for applicable offenses, and federal laws such as 18 U.S.C. § 2387 prohibit actions intended to interfere with the loyalty, morale, or good order and discipline of the armed forces,” the Pentagon wrote, apparently referring to a video where Kelly and other Democrat politicians told current members of the armed forces and intel agencies to “refuse illegal orders” given by the Trump administration.

“All servicemembers are reminded that they have a legal obligation under the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) to obey lawful orders and that orders are presumed to be lawful,” the Pentagon stated. “A servicemember’s personal philosophy does not justify or excuse the disobedience of an otherwise lawful order.”
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth remarked the “foolish screed” made by Democrats, referred to as the “Seditious Six,” only “sows doubt and confusion — which only puts our warriors in danger.”
