US Southern Command is reportedly limiting Thanksgiving and Christmas leave for servicemembers, as the US appears to consider possible strikes on Venezuela within two weeks.

“SOUTHCOM is restricting / limiting leave over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, in preparation for possible land strikes in the next 10 days to two weeks, I am told by a source,” NewsNation White House correspondent Kellie Meyer reported on Monday.

The report comes as the FAA on Friday issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) advising pilots to exercise caution near Venezuela “due to the worsening security situation and heightened military activity.”

Fox News on Monday reported via unnamed US officials that an attack against Venezuela by the US would likely stem from their collusion with Russia, China and Iran, rather than their “drug trade.”

Asked last week whether he would rule out troops on the ground in Venezuela, President Donald Trump responded “I don’t rule out that. I don’t rule out anything,” adding he didn’t like the people running the country.

This is a developing story…
