Image Credit: x screenshot Brian McGinnis, a Marine Corps veteran now running as a Green Party candidate in North Carolina’s Senate election, was manhandled by Capitol Police officers on Wednesday after he disrupted an Armed Services subcommittee meeting by shouting, “No one wants to fight for Israel!”
The former Marine’s anti-war protest during an Armed Services subcommittee meeting caused Senator Tim Sheehy (R-Mo.) to assist Capitol officers in removing McGinnis from the room.
Footage of the incident shows McGinnis clinging onto a door while being pulled by the officers and senator, at which point his arm got stuck and appeared to snap.
McGinnis posted a video before the confrontation explaining he intended on speaking out on behalf of “anybody who feels disillusioned and betrayed by our government,” adding, “Our elected officials said there would be no world war.”
The AIPAC Tracker account on 𝕏 pointed out Sheehy has taken over $600,000 from the pro-Israeli lobbying group.
The GOP senator also filmed an AIPAC ad promising to ensure the IDF has “the best gear, intelligence and technology and support” to get their jobs done.
Meanwhile, journalist Laura Loomer noted McGinnis is part of the “free Palestine” movement as his family is from the Middle East country, claimed he’s married to a Muslim woman and sleeps on a bed with a Palestinian flag blanket.
