Black comedian Druski, AKA Andrew Desbordes, set the internet ablaze with a video of him at a NASCAR race dressed as a redneck.
Posted to X earlier this week, the video featured an otherwise unassuming bearded white man with a mullet and overalls complete with an American flag cowboy hat and tats excited to attend the race.
Here’s the outfit:

And here’s his usual appearance:
Embed from Getty ImagesThe costume fooled everyone, as it was meticulously crafted down to the last detail, with makeup covering his entire body featuring convincing farmer’s tan lines.
Druski even played up the part by indulging a southern accent and jamming Bruce Springsteen’s “Born In The USA.”
The video has received over 193 million views on X.
However, some were offended by the stunt, claiming the black comedian made white people the butt of the joke and took it overboard with his depiction of racism toward fellow black people.
In one instance, he spat in disgust while leaning on a car as a black man walked by.
In another, he questioned a black man headed to the race, asking, “You lost, boy?”
Notice how no white folk acted like you were?

And WHY did you spit at the feet of black people? I wish you would go back and ask them how many times that happened that day — you treated them worse than any white person did I assure you.
Always have to invent the racism.
Would have been hilarious without the race baiting bullshit.

This was great, but why did you spit at black people? We don't do that. I hope those guys were in on it, otherwise you might have caused them to think whites were like that.

Comedian Theo Von responded to the stunt suggesting he could film a blackface skit, writing, “Anyone do hair and m/u? hit my dms. I feel a jheri curl coming on.”
At the end of the day, it’s important to remember — it’s just a comedy skit… and blackface is now par for the course.
