Police in Washington, D.C., arrested two teenagers in connection with the brutal beating of DOGE team member Edward “Big Balls” Coristine, whose assault was publicized by Elon Musk and President Donald Trump on Tuesday.

The Washington Post noted, “D.C. police have arrested a 15-year-old boy and girl from Maryland and charged them with unarmed carjacking,” noting via anonymous sources the suspects are being held at a youth detention center.

“According to a D.C. police report, about 10 juveniles approached Coristine and one other person, who were ‘standing next to their vehicle,’ then ‘demanded the vehicle and assaulted one of the victims,'” the Post reported.

The juveniles reportedly fled when a police cruiser approached and police exited.

The arrests came as President Trump on Tuesday issued a Truth Social message condemning the attack and calling on children as young as 14-years-old to be prosecuted as adults in D.C., threatening that if Democrats didn’t end their soft-on-crime policies he could federalize the city.

“The Law in D.C. must be changed to prosecute these ‘minors’ as adults, and lock them up for a long time, starting at age 14. The most recent victim was beaten mercilessly by local thugs. Washington, D.C., must be safe, clean, and beautiful for all Americans and, importantly, for the World to see,” the president wrote without naming the victim.

“If D.C. doesn’t get its act together, and quickly, we will have no choice but to take Federal control of the City, and run this City how it should be run, and put criminals on notice that they’re not going to get away with it anymore,” he added.

Trump’s Truth Social post featured a photo of the victim of the assault, a shirtless young white man with blood on his face.

Former DOGE team lead Elon Musk added the person assaulted was a former member of his team, agreeing with Trump’s proposal to federalize the city.

“A few days ago, a gang of about a dozen young men tried to assault a woman in her car at night in DC,” the billionaire Tesla owner said. “A @Doge team member saw what was happening, ran to defend her and was severely beaten to the point of concussion, but he saved her.”

Back in February, leftist media outlets attempted to use “Big Balls” to attack the administration, pointing to Coristine’s unusual nickname as an example of how the DOGE team wasn’t really serious about cutting government waste, fraud, and abuse – despite having been a child prodigy who created a business managing numerous web domains at the age of 16.

“Big Balls” reportedly left DOGE at the end of June following Musk’s exit.

Social media users lifted up “Big Balls” in posts after news of his assault broke.
