Following the recent America first outrage against the Republican-backed illegal alien amnesty bill The “Dignity” Act, it was pointed out that President Donald Trump endorsed the bill’s sponsor, Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar.
The bill, which is so over-the-top its real name is “DIGNIDAD” (Spanish for dignity), was drafted in 2021 and introduced in July 2025. In February 2026 Trump endorsed the legislation’s central figure, Rep. Salazar:

The bill is a Biden-era illegal alien invasion act, not a Trump-era immigration enforcement act.
”In March 2021, Rep. Salazar announced her vision for immigration reform in the Dignity Plan. Less than a year later, she introduced the first version of her Dignity Act. After consulting with members of both parties and a diverse group of interested stakeholders, Reps. Salazar and Escobar teamed up to introduce a new, better, and bipartisan version of the Dignity Act. As was previously pointed out by Infowars, The “Dignity” Act is not just about finding a middle ground with the Left when it comes to immigration, it is about keeping the illegal aliens in the country until a future Democrat regime can grant them full citizenship. In addition to Trump endorsing Rep. Salazar after she sponsored an illegal alien amnesty bill, Trump endorsed her after she said “I voted to send more aid to our allies Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan.”
Media commentator Matt Van Swol replied to Rep. Salazar’s directive to read her bill, saying:

After completing the 7-year program (paying $7,000 total in fees, staying employed, obeying laws, paying back taxes):

“Dignity Status” which is essentially a lawful nonimmigrant status, which is renewable any number of times
Work and travel authorizationBut the most important bit that you’re hiding here is that it totally suspends deportation of anyone who qualifies for this.
This would effective end ALL MASS DEPORTATIONS in the United States immediately.

Charlie Kirk himself was against The Dignity Act.
