Fox News host Laura Ingraham said on Tuesday that Democrat California Senator Adam Schiff is under federal criminal investigation for alleged mortgage fraud.
She reported a criminal referral was sent to the Justice Department by a federal housing agency in May after it learned Schiff claimed two different primary homes, one in California and one in Maryland.

On Tuesday, Ingraham explained the U.S. Attorneyâs Office in Maryland is investigating Schiff after the Federal Housing Finance Agency accused the senator of falsifying bank documents and property records to receive a better loan.
The attorneys are reportedly investigating “Pencil Neck” Schiff for a 2011 false affidavit declaring the Maryland property his primary residence so he got tax breaks and cheaper insurance.
Of course, the California home owned by Schiff would have to be his primary residence as that is the state he was elected to represent.
Last month, President Trump commented on the mortgage fraud rumors, saying, “I have always suspected Shifty Adam Schiff was a scam artist. And now I learn that Fannie Maeâs Financial Crimes Division have concluded that Adam Schiff has engaged in a sustained pattern of possible Mortgage Fraud. Adam Schiff said that his primary residence was in MARYLAND to get a cheaper mortgage and rip off America, when he must LIVE in CALIFORNIA because he was a Congressman from CALIFORNIA.â
The president also wrote on Truth Social, âAdam âShiftyâ Schiff is in BIG TROUBLE! He falsified Loan Documents. He once said my son would go to prison on a SCAM that Schiff, along with other Crooked Dems, illegally âmanufacturedâ in order to stage an actual coup. My son did nothing wrong, knew nothing about the fictional story. It was an American Tragedy! Now Shifty should pay the price of prison for a real crime, not one made up by the corrupt accusers!â
Meanwhile, Schiff denied the accusations and claimed the whole situation is a “baseless attempt at political retribution wonât stop me from holding him accountable.”
Schiff also said Trump should “piss off” during a recent appearance on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which is slated for cancelation.
While the mortgage fraud accusations do appear to be legitimate, many Americans believe Schiff is involved in far more egregious criminal activities.
