The bipartisan “Dignity” Act’s sponsor Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar admitted that her Republican-backed illegal alien amnesty bill is aimed at buying time until the next Democrat regime takes power. Essentially, the act would protect illegal aliens from deportation if they have been trespassing in the country prior to 2021 and do not get caught and convicted for offensives besides immigration offenses.
“We give them [illegal aliens] dignity, at some point in the future another legislator will write another law to give them paths to citizenship,” the Republican Congresswoman said. “Right now what we need to do is to buy peace for these people, allow them to stay.”
The Republican-backed amnesty plan would keep the illegal aliens in the country until Democrats regain control, at which point the illegal aliens will be granted full citizenship.
The Republican Congresswoman also said that she wants to keep the aliens working “because they are needed,” despite the act of an illegal alien working removes a job from a citizen, a job that will be increasingly rare due to automation and artificial intelligence.
The bill is so over-the-top that its real name is “DIGNIDAD” (Spanish for dignity). It was drafted during the Biden regime in 2021 and introduced in July 2025.
Ironically, the Act states that “undocumented immigrants” can stay if they have been trespassing before 2021, despite the very nature of being “undocumented” implies a lack of documentation to prove the length of trespass.
President Donald Trump endorsed Salazar months after she introduced the amnesty plan. Trump himself adopted his own illegal alien amnesty program called “worst of the worst” according to former Border Patrol commander-at-large Greg Bovino.
