Image Credit: Jaimi Joy / Stringer / Getty Images President Trump issued a withering rebuke to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s response to the joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran, saying the US doesn’t need British help.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump called Britain “our once Great Ally,” and warned America would remember her failure to provide support in the early stages of the strikes.
“The United Kingdom, our once Great Ally, maybe the Greatest of them all, is finally giving serious thought to sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East,” President Trump wrote.
“That’s OK, Prime Minister Starmer, we don’t need them any longer — But we will remember. We don’t need people that join Wars after we’ve already won!”

Trump heavily criticized Starmer after the British Prime Minister refused to allow American forces to use British military bases for strikes against Iran, saying he wanted to ensure the strikers were legal and had proper planning.
Starmer has since changed his mind and allowed US forces to use British bases, but only for “defensive” purposes targeting Iranian missile capabilities.
Britain’s Ministry of Defence has said it is preparing to send at least one aircraft carrier to the region, but no official decision has been made yet.
