A grand jury indicted New York Attorney General Letitia “Peekaboo” James Thursday, accusing her of committing mortgage fraud, as the DOJ continues investigating corrupt Democrats who weaponized the justice system against President Donald Trump.

James was reportedly indicted in Virginia on one count of mortgage fraud stemming from a property she purchased in the state in 2023 and one count of false statements to a financial institution, according to NBC News.

Here’s CNN announcing the breaking news:

The indictment follows vociferous calls from President Trump urging the Justice Dept. to investigate James, among others, as Weaponization Working Group Director Ed Martin was spotted outside her Manhattan home just months ago.

Last month, Trump published a personal message from himself to US Attorney General Pam Bondi asking why charges hadn’t yet been brought against “guilty as hell” ex-FBI Director James Comey, Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), or James.

In the same message, Trump also blasted “woke RINO” U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Erik Siebert, saying Lindsey Halligan would be better for the position, to which she was later promoted.

Thursday’s indictment marks the second Deep State crony facing accountability, following last month’s indictment of former FBI Director James Comey, who was charged with lying to Congress.

James has notoriously weaponized the justice system in various ways against President Trump, with a civil fraud lawsuit launched by her in 2022 culminating in Judge Arthur Engoron finding him liable in 2024 for fraud and ordering him to pay $454 million, a fine later tossed by an appellate court.

James – who in 2020 played a key role in shutting down Infowars’ sale of colloidal silver supplements – denied the allegations in a statement, claiming the grand jury’s indictment was politically motivated.

“These charges are baseless, and the president’s own public statements make clear that his only goal is political retribution at any cost,” James said, according to NBC. “The president’s actions are a grave violation of our Constitutional order and have drawn sharp criticism from members of both parties.”

NBC notes James’ “case has been assigned to U.S. District Judge Jamar K. Walker, a Biden appointee.”
