President Donald Trump was duped into launching a futile strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities as part of a sinister plot orchestrated by Israel’s Mossad, according to Max Blumenthal, investigative journalist and editor-in-chief of The Grayzone.
Dubbed “Operation Midnight Hammer” by the White House, the attack was sold to Americans as a Top Gun-style triumph. But Blumenthal calls it “Operation Midnight Scammer,” alleging that Mossad, with CIA Director John Ratcliffe as its “stenographer,” fed Trump fabricated intelligence to drag the U.S. into Israel’s war agenda.
Mossad operatives, including Director David Barnea, directly briefed Trump in the Oval Office, Blumenthal told Judge Andrew Napolitano during an episode of Judging Freedom on June 25.
They allegedly peddled wild claims, such as Iran being weeks away from a nuclear weapon and even planning to hand a nuclear warhead to Yemen’s Houthis within a week—a notion Blumenthal’s source, a Trump official, called “absolutely laughable.”
The goal? To manipulate Trump into authorizing strikes on Iran’s Fordow facility, which Blumenthal says were symbolic at best, hitting empty tunnels after Iran had already moved its enriched uranium stockpile.
The Defense Intelligence Agency has since confirmed Iran’s foresight, leaking assessments that the strikes caused minimal damage.
Israeli pundits have openly admitted the operation was more about optics than impact, designed to pull the U.S. into a broader regime-change war. Blumenthal’s Trump insider revealed that Mossad briefers were “tactless, hyper aggressive, fear-mongering,” preying on Trump’s trust to push a narrative reminiscent of the discredited WMD claims used to justify the Iraq War.
At the center of this alleged deception is John Ratcliffe, Trump’s handpicked CIA director.
Blumenthal claims Ratcliffe, a former small-town lawyer and congressman with no intelligence background, was groomed by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) since his early career in Dallas.
Exclusive audio obtained by The Grayzone reportedly captures AIPAC’s CEO boasting about cultivating Ratcliffe, who later became a loyal Trump defender and Mossad’s key conduit to the President.
“Ratcliffe was Mossad’s stenographer,” the Trump official told Blumenthal, accusing him of funneling “phony” Israeli intelligence to the president.
The fallout has been swift and brutal. Even Trump’s staunchest allies, like Steve Bannon and Tucker Carlson, have turned on him, branding the Iran strike a betrayal of America First principles.
Bannon has called Trump an “Orange McCain,” evoking the late senator’s hawkish legacy, while Carlson and others warn that foreign lobbies are hijacking Trump’s agenda.
The MAGA base, already wary of endless wars, is reeling, with a CNN poll showing just 20% of Republicans under 45 supporting the strike.
Blumenthal’s revelations paint a chilling picture: a U.S. president, elected to put America first, allegedly manipulated by a foreign intelligence agency to serve its own ends.
Trump himself seems to sense the betrayal, publicly slamming Israel for violating a ceasefire he orchestrated.
“They don’t know what the f*** they’re doing,” Trump fumed during a press gaggle in the Rose Garden this week.
Yet, the damage is done, Blumenthal warns.
By falling for Mossad’s ruse, Trump has pushed Iran outside the nuclear inspection regime, potentially accelerating its path to a weapon and setting the stage for more conflict.
This follows a familiar playbook: foreign powers and their deep state allies infiltrate the highest levels of government to entangle America in wars that drain our blood and treasure. Ratcliffe’s rise and Mossad’s alleged grip on Trump’s ear are just the latest chapter.
Will Trump wake up and purge neocons from his administration, or will Israel’s agenda continue to steer America toward disaster?
