Image Credit: DHS Federal immigration officers were targeted by violent suspects in vehicles on four separate occasions in the Chicago area on Wednesday, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
DHS published disturbing details about the attacks and threats in a press release entitled, “Cicero or Sicario: A Day of Crashes” — a reference to the 2015 film depicting American intelligence operatives battling a drug cartel on Mexican soil.
- Three American citizens in separate vehicles tailed U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) vehicles. When one of the suspects attempted to ram agents, all three were arrested.
- A Latin Kings gang member displaying an anti-ICE flag followed a USBP vehicle for several miles before attempting to ram agents head-on. USBP avoided the collision, but the suspect crashed into another car and was arrested. His prior convictions include unlawful possession of a firearm, destroying evidence, and DUI.
- Another suspected gang member with a criminal history stalked federal vehicles and impeded operations. After defying repeated orders to back off, he boxed government vehicles into an alleyway and was subsequently arrested.
- USBP agents conducting a targeted enforcement operation encountered three illegal aliens from Mexico in a parking lot. The illegals refused orders to exit the vehicle in which they were traveling. The driver then rammed a government vehicle, scraped another, and struck an agent who was pursuing on foot. All three were arrested and turned over to ICE custody.
During yet another incident on the same day, a U.S. citizen identified as Isabel Mata allegedly threatened to “put a hit out” on USBP Commander Gregory Bovino during a targeted enforcement operation at a laundromat.
Another viewpoint where Commander Bovino arrested the bovine who threatened DHS agents just outside the Su Primera Lavanderia laundry mat. The heifer tried to buck arrest but got grassed hard and went down without a single moo. She claims the charges were beefed up. pic.twitter.com/ycePdbAjcd

Six U.S. citizens were arrested for impeding operations on Wednesday and three illegals were placed into removal proceedings.
“While conducting immigration enforcement operations in Cicero and Glendale Heights, agitators stalked law enforcement, rammed vehicles, fled scenes, injured agents, and caused multiple accidents across town—putting law enforcement and the public in danger. Despite the violence, CBP arrested 3 illegal aliens who were breaking our nation’s immigration laws. Six citizens were arrested for impeding and threatening to kill agents,” stated DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
“Our officers are facing a surge in assaults against them as they put their lives on the line to arrest murderers, rapists, and gang members. Secretary Noem’s message to the rioters is clear: you will not stop us or slow us down. CBP and our federal law enforcement partners will continue to enforce the law. And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
Illegal aliens and radical leftists have become increasingly brazen in their resistance to immigration law enforcement.
