President Donald Trump says he booted Jeffrey Epstein after he recruited at least two young girls from his Mar-a-Lago resort, including late trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre.

The president made the remarks during an Air Force One press gaggle Tuesday.

Here’s a transcript of a reporter’s question and the president’s response:

Reporter: Epstein has a certain reputation, obviously, but just curious, were some of the workers
that were taken from you, were some of them young women?

Trump: Well, I don’t want to say, but everyone knows the people that were taken, and it was the
concept of taking people that worked for me was bad, but that story has been pretty well out there. And the answer is yes, they were.

…in the spa. People that work in the spa – [I have] a great spa, one of the best spas in the world at Mar-a-Lago – and people were taken out of the spa, hired by him. In other words, gone.

And other people would come and complain, ‘This guy is taking people from the spa.’ I didn’t know that. And then when I heard about it, I told him, I said, ‘Listen, we don’t want you taking
our people, whether it was spa, or not spa. I don’t want to take your people.’ And he
was fine, and then not too long after that, he did it again, and I said, ‘Out of here.’

The president was next asked if one of the spa employees poached by Epstein was Giuffre, who reportedly died by suicide in April.

Different reporter: Mr. President, did one of those stolen, you know, persons did that include Virginia Giuffre.

Trump: I don’t know. I think she worked at the spa. I think so. I think that was one of the people.
He stole her. And by the way, she had no complaints about us, as you know, none whatsoever.

Giuffre, one of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s most vocal sex trafficking victims, reportedly died by suicide on April 25, 2025, just weeks after sustaining severe injuries in a devastating car wreck.

In an Instagram post penned less than a month before her death, she wrote she had “days to live” after an accident with a school bus.

“This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won’t bore anyone with the details but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km (68mph) as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can,” Roberts wrote.

Giuffre’s reported suicide came despite a social media post in 2019 where she said she’d never kill herself.

Giuffre, Epstein’s “sex slave” starting in 2001, was allegedly trafficked through him to Prince Andrew in addition to other prominent figures, including Jean-Luc Brunel, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, and former Democrat New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, and later filed lawsuits that were quietly settled out of court.

Giuffre previously discussed working at the Mar-a-Lago spa before being approached by Ghislaine Maxwell.

Previous X posts show Giuffre was irritated President Trump hadn’t done more to expose Epstein’s clients during his first term, but noted she never witnessed him doing anything inappropriate and was supportive of him ahead of his re-election last November.

She’d also expressed she believed Trump parted ways with Epstein “over a real estate deal [that] went south.”
