Violent ‘protests’ at an immigration detention center in the Chicago area were met with increasing resistance from law enforcement over the course of the weekend.
The Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) processing facility in Broadview, IL, has been targeted for weeks by Antifa terrorists and fellow militants, and even elected officials since the launch of Operation Midway Blitz in early September.
Three planned demonstrations took place at the facility on Friday and Saturday, triggering the deployment of federal assets and special response teams that worked alongside state and local police to crush the insurrection.
Agitators began gathering in Broadview on Saturday afternoon following a string of attacks on federal agents across the sanctuary city throughout the day.
A lone ICE supporter showed up and was immediately surrounded by aggressive leftists who shouted in his face.
Illinois State Police (ISP) cleared the street leading to facility, which militants routinely blocked during previous protests.
Later in the night, a mob marching toward the facility was met by a wall of ISP officers who arrested multiple people, including an apparent ringleader.
Authorities declared the gathering an ‘unlawful assembly’ and began driving agitators out of the area under threat of arrest.
Department of Homeland Security has announced that more special operations teams have been deployed to Chicago to “restore law and order.”
