Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday at POTUS’ Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida to work on a peace deal amid Ukraine’s ongoing war with Russia.
The next day, the president will host Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for more peace talks surrounding Trump’s Gaza proposal.
The president’s 20-point peace plan outlines how a new Palestinian government would be formed and establishes an International Stabilization Force made up of Palestinians vetted by the UN.
The Trump administration reportedly hopes to solidify the deals by January.
Both Netanyahu and Zelensky risk losing U.S. support if they do not agree with the president’s terms.
Earlier this week, the Ukrainians reportedly said they’ll remove “heavy forces” from the Donbas region in exchange for Russia pulling back some of its troops.
Even the most ardent Trump haters would surely have to give him some credit if the two deals are completed in the coming weeks.
