On Wednesday night President Donald Trump posted that vehicles are indeed, deadly weapons, when they are used to attack people. He also included a link to a Fox News Sean Hannity show clip of former FBI agent and Fox News contributor Nicole Parker explaining this very point.
The President’s post comes after a woman, protesting Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota, allegedly decided to turn her car into a deadly weapon by appearing to attempt vehicular homicide against a federal agent.
“When a vehicle is coming at you and is being used as a weapon, deadly force is justified, Nicole Parker says,” Trump posted.

On Hannity’s show Wednesday, Parker explains that the law enforcement response to attempted vehicular homicide is very clear – the officers have a right to self defense, including via lethal means.
“What I see is a vehicle being used as a deadly force weapon,” Parker said. “And that, based on my opinion, based on my training, deadly force is justified.”
She goes on to explain that the Department of Justice deadly force policy states one must believe they themselves, or another person, is in serious danger of death or serious bodily injury. She also reiterated that deadly force is justified when a vehicle is attempting to ram someone.
Much less politicized cases of law enforcement shooting drivers attempting to ram them are numerous.
