Image Credit: grok ai A group of J6 defendants who didn’t have their cases fully pardoned by President Donald Trump in January 2025 when he was reelected will finally have their alleged crimes vacated after the D.C. Court of Appeals signs off on a DOJ motion.
The Trump DOJ on Tuesday filed the motion to dismiss seditious conspiracy convictions of Proud Boys and Oath Keepers members.
Unlike the majority of J6ers pardoned by President Trump’s 2025 executive order, the following individuals only had their sentences commuted:
- Stewart Rhodes
- Kelly Meggs
- Kenneth Harrelson
- Thomas Caldwell
- Jessica Watkins
- Roberto Minuta
- Edward Vallejo
- David Moerschel
- Joseph Hackett
- Ethan Nordean
- Joseph Biggs
- Zachary Rehl
- Dominic Pezzola
- Jeremy Bertino
Now, once the U.S. Court of Appeals approves the motion, Biggs, Rhodes, Meggs, Harrelson and Watkins will have their rights fully restored.
Proud Boys founder Enrique Tarrio, who was not included in the motion, praised US Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro for signing off on the dismissal.
“Full rights restored and full military benefits and back pay will be processed,” he wrote. “Our lives are now closer to being whole. This is my happiest day since the pardon that released us from the jaws of injustice!”
On Wednesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals suspended a briefing schedule following the DOJ motion, signaling the court will now move to address the request.
Once the court approves the motion, which at this point seems likely, the former political prisoners will finally be free Americans again, as combat veteran and former Infowars reporter Joe Biggs pointed out, “I can have my guns back, travel the world and get my military benefits back!”
