Image Credit: Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images President Donald Trump fired off an early morning salvo at NATO, slamming the allied nations for failing to come to his aid when requested in the Strait of Hormuz conflict with Iran.
“NATO NATIONS HAVE DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP WITH THE LUNATIC NATION, NOW MILITARILY DECIMATED, OF IRAN. THE U.S.A. NEEDS NOTHING FROM NATO, BUT ‘NEVER FORGET’ THIS VERY IMPORTANT POINT IN TIME!” the president posted to Truth Social in all caps.

The frustration follows weeks of Trump asking the 32-nation globalist body to send military support to keep the strait open amid attacks from the Iranian regime on unapproved vessels transporting critical energy and commodity shipments abroad, with NATO thus far refusing to join the conflict.
Trump reiterated his criticism of NATO during a press conference later in the day.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: This was a test for NATO. Are you going to help us? If you don't do that, we're going to remember. pic.twitter.com/DPbCkJqZba

The president in another A.M. post also gave an update on negotiations with Iran, saying the hour is getting late for the embattled nation to come to the table to work out a deal.
“The Iranian negotiators are very different and ‘strange.’ They are ‘begging’ us to make a deal, which they should be doing since they have been militarily obliterated, with zero chance of a comeback, and yet they publicly state that they are only ‘looking at our proposal.’ WRONG!!! They better get serious soon, before it is too late, because once that happens, there is NO TURNING BACK, and it won’t be pretty! President DJT,” Trump wrote in a follow-up post.

It remains to be seen what the president means by “won’t be pretty” should Iran fail to negotiate.
