The President discussed federal funds for the community’s economic recovery as well as a longterm health study on how the chemicals are affecting the exposed humans.
To the Great People of East Palestine, Ohio, who were disgracefully betrayed and forgotten about by Crooked Joe Biden — “TRUMP” has never forgotten about you, and never will! In addition to our Administration’s Longterm Health Study for the benefit of the residents, we are providing $10 Million Dollars through the Economic Development Administration to help the Community continue its Economic Recovery from the disastrous train derailment. We want to see East Palestine grow, flourish, and be able to take advantage of our now BOOMING Economy. It was horrible what was allowed to happen there, and we are with you for the LONG HAUL. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

In the summer of 2025 the Trump administration announced the longterm study, Infowars reported at the time:
The NIH will conduct a multi-million dollar long-term study into the health effects of the devastating chemical spill and “controlled burn” that took place in East Palestine, Ohio in 2023.
The study was announced on Thursday in a video posted to Twitter featuring Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and NIH Director Dr Jay Bhattacharya.
The Vice President and Secretary Kennedy along with Director Bhattacharya appeared in a press conference at the time to make the announcement.

About 50 Norfolk Southern freight train cars derailed on the night of Feb. 3 in East Palestine, a town of 4,800 residents near the Ohio-Pennsylvania border, due to a mechanical problem on an axle of one of the vehicles. There were a total of 20 hazardous material cars in the train consist, 10 of which derailed, according to the NTSB, a U.S. government agency responsible for civil transportation accident investigation. As Infowars reported at the time, dioxins are one of the most carcinogenic compounds known to man. Their inability to break down and penchant to embed in living organisms makes them particularly pervasive once released into the environment.
It is likely federal money and scientific study will not repair the ecological damage to the affected land. The biological effects are being seen with the residents.
“Frustrations are still building, people are still sick, and one independent tester says data shows things are getting worse,” NewsNation reported Friday. “Residents in the area say they’re now experiencing health issues like asthma, chronic cough, cysts, headaches, eye issues and cancer.”
A study published in June 2024 showed a massive geographic area throughout the North East U.S. was contaminated with chemicals produced by the burning of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polyvinyl acetate (PVA), which mixed together in the train accident. That cocktail was then illegally set ablaze by the fire department.

“Our measurements revealed a large areal impact from the Midwest through the Northeast and likely Canada, and perhaps as far south as North Carolina (portions of 16 states, 1.4 million km2),” the study said in the ‘Abstract’ section.
Infowars detailed the level of harm dioxins pose:
Interestingly, prior to the actual train derailment and ensuing toxic release in East Palestine, Ohio, a movie was filmed near East Palestine, Ohio where a train derailed and resulted in a toxic release. Infowars reported:
Social media users are pointing out the Netflix movie White Noise, starring actor Adam Driver, has eerie similarities to a catastrophic train derailment that took place earlier this month in Ohio.
The movie, based in Ohio in the 1980s, depicts a college professor and his family forced to evacuate their home after a nearby train derailment prompts an airborne radiological event.
Parts of the movie which debuted last August were filmed near East Palestine – the site where 50 train cars derailed ten days ago spewing toxic chemicals – with citizens of the town incredibly appearing in the movie as extras.
Infowars also reported how the autopen presidency of Joe Biden claimed everything was fine following the chemical fire, which was proven to be a lie by released internal emails.
