President Donald Trump on Friday told CNN he has not spoken with Elon Musk since their public falling out a day earlier.

“I’m not even thinking about Elon. He’s got a problem. The poor guy’s got a problem,” Trump said regarding Thursday’s spat over the Big, Beautiful Bill, which escalated into Musk accusing the president of being in the Epstein files.

Trump’s comments came as Politico on Thursday reported the White House had scheduled a phone call between the pair to smooth things over, but Trump batted down those claims, telling CNN, “No. I won’t be speaking to him for a while I guess, but I wish him well.”

For the most part, Musk appears to be receptive to working things out, replying to investor Bill Ackman, “You’re not wrong,” in a post where Ackman commented, “I support @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk and they should make peace for the benefit of our great country. We are much stronger together than apart.”

After initially claiming he would begin decommissioning SpaceX’s Dragon rocket following threats from POTUS against his companies’ government contracts, Musk also later told a user he would reconsider the decision, agreeing, “Good advice,” to an X user asking him to “cool off and step back.”

Unfortunately, CNN did not appear to ask President Trump about the most explosive allegation during Thursday’s fracas, Musk’s “big bomb” claims that “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files,” and that this “is the real reason they have not been made public.”

“Musk has not detailed how he would have gained access to unreleased files related to the disgraced financier and has not provided any evidence of where his information was coming from,” CNN noted.

Asked if it’s possible Musk may have somehow had access to the files, FBI Director Kash Patel told Joe Rogan it was unlikely.

“I don’t know how he would, but I’m just staying out of the Trump / Elon thing. That’s way outside my lane. I know my lane, and that ain’t it,” the FBI leader said.

Musk has not issued clarification on his allegations as of writing.

To the contrary, the president has a history of using Pedophile Island and the Epstein controversy to slam people like Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew.

Others have commented Musk likely would not have left his son with the president if he believed him to be a child predator, while others noted if there was any Trump-Epstein evidence it would have been borne out by Democrats during one of the past three presidential elections.

The White House similarly has not yet commented on the allegations.
