The Democrat-induced government shutdown is forcing American travelers to suffer as TSA agents and air traffic controllers who aren’t being paid are not showing up to work, causing long waits and flight delays at several U.S. airports.
It’s being reported that over 5,000 flights traveling from and to U.S. airports were delayed on Sunday alone, and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy only expects things to get worse in the near future.
Duffy said, “You’ll see more delays, you’ll see more cancellations of flights, and that’s because we slow traffic down because we don’t have enough controllers in the towers and TRACONs to make sure we can navigate the flights. So, that’s a tool that we have to keep the system safe.”
If things get any worse, the Trump admin official said all air travel would be shut down, explaining, “We won’t let people travel. We’re not there at this point. It’s just significant delays.”
In Houston, Texas, on Monday, travelers were waiting in very long lines for over three hours.

George Bush Intercontinental was one of dozens of major airports reporting delays and cancellations this weekend.
Newsweek reported over 7,000 delays across America as of early Monday morning.
With the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday being among the nation’s most popular times to travel, it’s concerning that these issues may not be solved by that time.
While Democrats continue blaming Republicans and the Trump administration for the shutdown, several prominent members of the party have openly admitted they’re using the suffering of the American people to turn them against the MAGA White House.
For example, Democratic Whip Katherine Clark (D-Mass.), the second most senior member of the House Democratic Caucus, openly admitted her party is weaponizing suffering American families as “leverage” against the Trump administration.
