Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) signed Senate Bill 261 last week, banning the manufacturing, processing, possession, distribution, and sale of “cell-cultured protein” products for human consumption.
The science-created “meat” is produced by growing animal cells in a lab with “immortalized cells” that are altered to grow and divide indefinitely unlike normal cells.
The law goes into effect starting September 1st as the state known for its delicious BBQ ensures nobody will be eating artificially manipulated animal products.
Indiana, Nebraska, Montana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida already passed similar laws, making Texas the seventh state to ban lab “meat.”
This means the Austin based company BioBQ will not be able to introduce its lab-grown beef brisket to Texas BBQ spots anytime soon.
However, the Texas bill bizarrely expires in 2027, leaving the door open for the controversial fake meat to make its way back into supermarkets and restaurants.
“Climate change” is one of the main excuses used to stir fear and promote lab-grown meats since real animals bred for human consumption contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, albeit counting for an estimated 15% of total emissions and being a natural part of the circle of life unlike vehicle combustion, power plants and other mechanical emissions.
Infowars has long warned of the globalist agenda to reduce mankind’s meat intake and to give governments more power over the foods we put into our bodies.
