Image Credit: Warren County Regional Jail A foreign male is facing serious charges after he allegedly broke into a Kentucky home and sexually abused a female resident, according to reports.
The disturbing incident unfolded at around 2 p.m. on Thursday in Bowling Green.
The Bowling Green Police Department (BGPD) was called to a home where a woman said her ex-boyfriend had forced his way inside and demanded to “be with her one last time,” according to an arrest citation reviewed by WBKO.
She said the man repeatedly knocked on the front door despite being told to leave before breaking a lock on a rear entry and barging into her bedroom.
After the suspect allegedly ripped the woman’s pants down, her son ran into the room and the suspect fled in a black pickup truck.
BGPD officers located the suspect’s vehicle and watched him enter an apartment, which he reportedly refused to exit for some time.
After obtaining a search warrant, authorities took the man into custody.
He was identified as 39-year-old Alberto Vazquez-Hernandez.
Vazquez-Hernandez reportedly stated that he fled from officers because he was “trying to avoid immigration.”
He was booked into Warren County Regional Jail on charges of second-degree burglary and third-degree sexual abuse.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement has lodged a detainer against Vazquez-Hernandez, indicating he may be an illegal alien.
