
An 88-year-old man suffered a stroke after being attacked by a crowd of armed thieves who stormed his jewelry store in California this weekend, according to reports.
The brazen smash-and-grab heist unfolded at around 2 p.m. on Friday in San Jose.
Masked suspects crashed a truck through the front of Kim Hung Jewelry and began pouring inside.
Surveillance footage indicates more than a dozen men brandishing tools and weapons smashed display cases, assaulted staff, and stole significant amounts of merchandise.
A man identified as the shop owner can be seen standing helplessly as his business is ransacked before one suspect viciously knocks him to the ground.
“He was injured by broken glass and then had a stroke,” Chris Moore, a friend of the victim’s family, stated on social media.
No suspects have been identified or apprehended at the time of this writing, according to the latest available updates.
