Senate Votes AGAINST Big, Beautiful Bill Measure Barring Illegals From Receiving Medicaid

Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough ruled on Friday that certain immigration measures cannot be included in Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill, and on Monday, the U.S. Senate rejected part of the bill that would have removed millions of illegal aliens from Medicaid.

The measure originally only needed 51 votes, and it ended up receiving 56, but MacDonough altered the rules making it necessary for certain provisions to need 60 votes in order to be included in the bill.
