President Donald Trump’s “representatives” met with Israeli officials Tuesday and got the Jewish state to agree to the conditions necessary for establishing a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza. The President is now urging Iran-backed Hamas militants to accept the ceasefire deal.
“My Representatives had a long and productive meeting with the Israelis today on Gaza,” Trump said. “Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60 Day CEASEFIRE, during which time we will work with all parties to end the War. The Qataris and Egyptians, who have worked very hard to help bring Peace, will deliver this final proposal. I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas takes this Deal, because it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Trump spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following the U.S. strike on Iranian nuclear facilities in late June, during that call it was reported that Netanyahu agreed to proceed with a ceasefire plan.
While Israel has kept up their bombardment of Gaza in the days following the call, it appears the Israeli offensive may soon come to an end.
