Senator Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) joined “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Tuesday to propagandize the show’s leftist audience regarding the current spat between the Trump administration and the “seditious six” Democrat politicians who recently released a video ordering military and intel members to defy orders they deem “illegal.”
“The President doesn’t want you standing up and speaking out against him, so he’s coming after me to intimidate all of us. But I won’t back down — and neither should you,” Kelly wrote on 𝕏.
In the video clip he shared, Kelly told the late-night host he isn’t worried about being investigated by the Pentagon but that he IS worried servicemembers will now blindly follow orders.
He continued to accuse POTUS of trying to stoke fear so people don’t speak out in the future, saying, “That’s how Democracy dies. It is right out of the playbook of authoritarianism.”
Kelly then claimed the president is “trying to suppress speech” and “First Amendment rights.”
The Arizona Democrat went on to suggest Trump is sending a message that “you do not want to cross him and your loyalty should be to him,” adding, “It should not. It should always be to the Constitution.”
Of course the hypocrisy is that Trump is arguing Kelly and his five colleagues are the ones violating the Constitution and engaging in sedition by encouraging insubordination among the military and intel community.
At one point, Kimmel hilariously asked the Navy pilot-turned senator, “What even is sedition?”
Kelly also attacked Secretary of War Pete Hegseth as being “totally unqualified,” saying, “He can go after me under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which is law in the military, which is kind of wild, because we recited something in the Uniform Code of Military Justice, and he’s going to prosecute me under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. It is so ridiculous, it’s almost like you can’t make this shit up.”
Fox News host Jesse Watters revealed on “The Five” Monday that he spoke with a pair of CIA officers who revealed the Democrat video is part of a wider operation to promote insubordination among government officials and servicemembers.
He said they told him the Deep State “is they’re trying to condition the country to prepare for something bad that’s about to happen at the hands of Donald Trump.”
It appears as if the political establishment is digging in its heels as the Trump White House threatens to finally hold the Deep State accountable.
