An illegal alien from El Salvador is behind bars for allegedly sexually assaulting a rideshare driver, causing her to crash last weekend in Miami, Florida.
The disturbing incident unfolded on Jan. 31 in the Little Havana neighborhood.
A female Uber driver was transporting a fare just before 2 a.m. when he directed her to turn down a dark street and proceeded cover her mouth and violently grope her while the vehicle was moving, according to an arrest affidavit reviewed by Local 10.
The victim lost control of her SUV, slamming into another car and then a church.
A witness approached the scene of the wreck and observed a man fleeing on foot while the driver was trapped inside her heavily-damaged vehicle.
“He tried to rape me. He tried to touch me, abuse me,” the victim reportedly screamed as the witness attempted to assist her.
Responding officers located the suspect’s cell phone inside the victim’s vehicle and quickly tracked him down.
Oscar Ernesto Sanchez-Aguire, 26, was arrested and charged with battery and culpable negligence resulting in injuries.
Additionally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer against Sanchez-Aguire, who is in the U.S. illegally.
“This is yet another example of how years of open border policies have resulted in a heartbreaking number of preventable attacks. This monster should never have been in our country in the first place and had the opportunity to prey on this innocent woman,” said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
