On Wednesday Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said that the momentum toward peace in the Ukraine war which was constructed during the August 15 Pursuing Peace summit in Alaska between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin is largely gone now.
“Unfortunately, the powerful momentum from the Anchorage [summit] in favor of [peace] agreements has largely been undermined through efforts by opponents and efforts by supporters of ‘war till the last Ukrainian’, mostly among the Europeans,” Ryabkov said.
Following the summit in Alaska which was held on a Friday, Trump met with European Leaders and Ukraine’s Dictator Vladimir Zelensky the following Monday to try to solidify a peace deal.
While the meeting seemed to end with hope of an in-person meeting between Zelensky and Putin, such a get-together never materialized.
Western Europe has been shown to largely control the government in Kiev, in February the European leaders went to Ukraine to bribe it to continue fighting.
This may have resulted in the fiery meeting when the Dictator went to Washington DC and disrespected America in the White House. Zelensky has repeatedly refused peace as well.
