During an appearance on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” Wednesday, “Human Events Daily” host Jack Posobiec said a White House source told him the Brown University shooting appears to have been a targeted attack.
A gunman opened fire on students inside the engineering building on Saturday, killing two people and wounding eight.
Among the deceased was the university’s College Republicans Vice President Ella Cook, who was targeted by the assailant, according to an “extremely well placed” and “high level source.”
The source told Posobiec it seemed as if Cook “was the target” because she was shot multiple times, and that everybody else who was injured or killed was collateral damage for the killer.
Bannon asked if the source was a family member of somebody injured in the attack, and Posobiec confirmed that was the case.
During his White House meeting, the question of whether or not there was a phrase shouted during the attack, such as “Allahu Akbar,” and his source said it was “unclear” what the culprit stated during the chaos.
Both men noted the current official narrative is that there’s no sign of the shooter targeting anyone, which is directly contrary to what the victim’s family member told Posobiec.
If Cook was truly picked out by the assassin, Bannon pointed out other conservatives at the university or elsewhere could be in danger, and that law enforcement should tell the truth in order to warn them considering the shooter remains free.
“We need to find out whether or not there is an active threat, because we know that there is an active shooter that is still at loose and they are not giving us any information,” said Posobiec.
Next, Bannon called it “bizarre” that officials maintain there’s “no imminent threat” to the public despite having no leads on who the gunman is, where they are or what the motive was.
Posobiec also suggested there could be threats in different parts of the country if the perpetrator fled to another area and is considering another attack.
