Journalists and pro-Trump activists are celebrating Saturday evening’s events after the Portland Police Department (PPD) finally took down Antifa’s sidewalk encampment outside an ICE facility.
YouTuber Nick Shirly wrote on 𝕏, “ANTIFA HAS BEEN DISMANTLED IN PORTLAND After 140 days of controlling and camping on this street in Portland, ANTIFA has officially been cleared out as the police FINALLY stepped in and cleared the encampment. Inside the encampment they had loads full of medicine, medical gear, party supplies, a fridge, bbq, etc… ANTIFAs 140 days of control has officially come to an end.”
Shirley hypothesized a viral video he posted earlier in the day that showed Antifa taking over entire streets may have pressured the police to take action.

A local who lives near the Antifa camp rejoiced at the leftists being kicked off the sidewalk after harassing people for months.
Another Portlander compared the police clearing out the area to “Christmas morning” and said she’d “been attacked so many times” by the commie punks.
Several journalists filmed the moment PPD finally started enforcing the law and cleared out the camp.
Some of the leftists became violent as journalist Cam Higby documented them taking down the tents.
Time will tell how long the blue city’s police force is actually going to uphold the law.
