Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools revealed this week that immigration operations in the North Carolina city caused over 30,000 students to be absent from class on Monday, Nov. 17, after first reporting the shocking number was more than 20,000.
With 140,000 students in the district, the new number means over 20% of schoolchildren were out of class.
Some elementary schools have reported more than half of their students missing class!
While many students walked out of class in protest of ICE’s presence in Charlotte, Queen City News reported most absences were directly related to the deportation operations.
Meanwhile, as loads of taxpayer money goes to educating illegals, an anti-ICE organization gathered in a local church this week to teach citizens how they can help aliens avoid immigration officers.
Foreigners and locals have held several protests since “Operation Charlotte’s Web” launched last weekend, with many of them waving flags from their home countries.
The angry leftists are demonstrating against deportations while hundreds of violent criminals have been arrested in recent days, including child molesters and murderers.
âCriminal records of those arrested include known gang membership, aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon, felony larceny, simple assault, hit-and-run, possession of stolen goods, shoplifting, DUI, DWI, and illegal re-entry after prior deportationâa felony,â said a DHS spokesperson.
Violent liberals have also been using their vehicles to ram ICE SUVs in Charlotte, which has been happening across the country all year.
New Orleans, Louisiana, will reportedly be the next major city ICE will target.
