YouTube video journalist Nick Shirley reports on the ground from Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he located a Somali daycare that received nearly $2 million from the federal government — yet it’s housed in a windowless building with misspelt words on the business’s main sign.

“This is a prime example of the BILLIONS of dollars in fraud happening right now in Minnesota,” Shirley captioned his X post.
“This is open and blatant fraud taking place here inside of Minnesota,” Shirley says in the video. “The government is complicit with this, and this is just one of the hundreds of child daycare centers here inside of Minneapolis being ran by the Somali population.”
The federal government is currently investigating a Somali network at the center of a billion-dollar fraud scheme, funneling taxpayer dollars into their pockets from programs intended to feed children, help autistic kids and aid those in need, an investigation that has netted 62 convictions with dozens more charged.
