Iran War Will End When Trump Feels It In His Bones

Trump also said that it is unlikely for the Iranian people to take over their government. Directly after Trump began bombing the Islamic Republic he took to social media calling for the Iranians to stage a coup, a Trump-backed insurrection in the capital of Iran.

"When we are finished [dropping bombs] take over your government, it will be yours to take," Trump told the Iranians on February 28. "This will be, probably, your only chance for generations."

On Friday President Donald Trump was asked by Fox News Radio’s Brian Kilmeade when the Iran war will end, to which the President said it will end when he feels it in his bones.

“When are you going to know when it’s over?” Kilmeade asked.

“When I feel it. When I feel it in my bones,” Trump replied.

Note that the narrative surrounding the war continues to change. There was a back and forth between the cabinet and Trump over who started the war, Israel or the U.S. – Trump himself going back and forth on the narrative.

Besides who started the war, the narrative of who gets to decide to end the war is also in question, as Trump previously said he will need permission from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the war.

“I think it’s mutual … a little bit. We’ve been talking. I’ll make a decision at the right time, but everything’s going to be taken into account,” Trump said Sunday.

Trump may not get to decide when to end the war, regardless of the narrative he runs with.

He declared Wednesday that the U.S. won the Iran war, but Iran and Israel seek to continue fighting.

Specifically, Iran again refused a U.S.-proposed ceasefire on Tuesday while Israel announced Wednesday that its war against Iran will continue without any time limit. After helping Israel incite the conflict, Trump appears to be uninterested in continuing the fight.

“We won! We won! In the first hour it was over,” Trump said at a political rally Wednesday.

The Jewish State seeks to keep the war going until Israel’s objectives are achieved.

“The operation will continue without any time limit, as long as required, until we accomplish all objectives and achieve victory in the campaign,” Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said during a meeting with Jewish military leaders.

The Islamic Republic disregarded Trump upping his threats over Tehran placing mines in the Strait of Hormuz, instead reacting by taking control of the situation via keeping the end of the war on its timeframe, not Washington’s.

“Certainly we aren’t seeking a ceasefire,” Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, a former top Revolutionary Guards commander said Tuesday. “We believe the aggressor must be punished and taught a lesson that will deter them from attacking Iran again.”

Kilmeade also asked Trump about the possibility of the Iranians rising up against the Mullahs and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, but Trump explained how that is unlikely.

“I really think that’s a big hurdle to climb for people that don’t have weapons. I think it’s a very big hurdle, so that’ll happen – maybe not immediately,” Trump said of an Iranian insurrection.

This is notable as directly after Trump attacked Iran, he took to social media calling for the Iranians to stage a coup, a Trump-backed insurrection in the capital of Iran.

“When we are finished [dropping bombs] take over your government, it will be yours to take,” Trump said February 28. “This will be, probably, your only chance for generations.”

Trump also referred to the Iran war as an “excursion” on Friday, and said that when he is over with it, the economy will “bounce right back.”

The President also said that he believes the war will end soon, a narrative he has recently been saying after initially saying the war will take a long time to end, days turned to weeks which turned to months, years, and even one quote that the war could last forever.

On Monday the rapidly extending timetable for the Iran war began to be significantly shortened, at least as far as Trump’s statements go.

“I think the war is very complete, pretty much,” Trump said Monday. “[Iran has] no navy, no communications, they’ve got no air force. Their missiles are down to a scatter. Their drones are being blown up all over the place, including their manufacturing of drones.”
