A former Cinnabon employee fired over a viral verbal altercation with a Somali couple was showered with support from internet users who donated over $100,000.
Partial footage of the incident filmed by the Somali female, which began mid-altercation, featured a male customer (off-camera) asking the Cinnabon worker, “You think sexualizing your body makes you a better person?” possibly referring to a comment the worker perhaps made about the female Somali’s hijab.
For context, one version of the video featured a caption reading, “Guys pls share this r@cist Karen! My cousin is traumatized! She started disrespecting her hijab after she asked more more Carmel because she hardly put any…” [sic]

The Cinnabon employee, Crystal, went on to ask the couple if they were filming her, before asking if they’d like for her to throw water on them.
Another clip of the incident showed Crystal telling the Somali couple, “I am racist, and you are a nigger.”
“You are ignorant,” the man told the worker, who responded, “I am racist, and I’ll say that to the whole entire world,” adding, “Don’t be disrespectful.”
“You’re ruining your life, by the way,” the Somali woman filming told the worker, who proceeded to tell the couple “Bye,” while flipping them off.
“You’re talking about respect? You are fired from this place, motherfucker. You’re not going to be working here,” the man told the worker, who replied, “Suck it,” while making an obscene jack-off gesture.
“What’s wrong with you?” the woman behind the camera asked Crystal, who responded, “What the fuck is wrong with you, you fuckin’ ugly bitch? Get the fuck out of my face.”
The Cinnabon company on Saturday responded that it had fired the worker and condemned her actions.
“We’ve seen the disturbing video from the Cinnabon bakery in Ashwaubenon, WI, and we do not condone this behavior. The former employee was immediately terminated by the franchise owner. Their actions do not reflect our values or the welcoming experience every guest deserves,” the company wrote.

A GiveSendGo fundraiser started for the woman describes: “Meet Crystal: hardworking White mom doing her job at Cinnabon. Two Somali customers decide to make her shift hell with intimidation.”
Over $110,000 has been raised for Crystal as of writing.
Internet sleuths claimed the woman could be a leftist Democrat voter, with a police booking entry showing she might have at one time been arrested for endangering three children.
