The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released photos and details about the attack, which unfolded in Tullos, a small town in north-central Louisiana.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement was preparing to take Maximiliano Perez-Perez into custody when he became violent, attempting to flee and viciously biting an officers’ hand.
Perez-Perez illegally entered the U.S. at an unknown location and date and his country of origin remains unclear.
“This criminal illegal alien is being charged with assault after he savagely bit a law enforcement officer in an attempt to evade arrest. DHS law enforcement is facing a 1,150% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats,” said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
“Many of these assaults, including biting and vehicle rammings, are happening as a direct result of sanctuary politicians encouraging illegal aliens to evade arrest.”
Illegal aliens and radical leftists become increasingly brazen in their resistance to immigration law enforcement.
