Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) announcement that she will resign from Congress in the coming weeks, saying her sudden departure shows President Trump’s MAGA movement is disintegrating and that MTG may have been threatened into abandoning her position.
Rep. Greene in a video Friday evening announced she would resign her seat in about six weeks, citing her split with President Trump on multiple issues and his attacks against her.
Fuentes on his show Friday pointed out MTG was one of President Trump’s most devout loyalists, but in the end appeared to be backstabbed by the MAGA coalition for attempting to steer it towards America First principles.
Trump’s betrayal of MAGA was exemplified by his betrayal of Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Delving into what possibly unfolded behind the scenes, Fuentes theorized Rep. Greene may have been threatened or blackmailed into stepping down.

“I imagine she was either threatened or blackmailed. And I think that’s the urgency. I think that explains the timing. She overthrows Trump on Epstein. It’s a mutiny,” Fuentes stated.
Regarding MTG’s imminent exit, Trump reportedly commented that it’s “great news for the country.”
Just spoke with Pres. Trump on the phone. He said @RepMTG resigning is "great news from the country."

"I think it's great news for the country. It's great," the president said.
I asked if she gave him any heads up.
"Nah, it doesn't matter, you know but I think it's great. I…
Fuentes noted he ultimately agreed with President Trump, saying it’s probably better MTG exits Congress considering she’s so easily giving up the fight.

“In other words, Trump destroyed his biggest loyalist for putting America First,” Fuentes wrote on X Saturday. “This is why I didn’t vote. MAGA is dead.”
In her resignation announcement Friday, Rep. Greene listed numerous gripes with the current Republican agenda, including her contentions with the recent government shutdown, America’s affordability crisis, President Trump’s support of H-1B visas and his personal attacks against her, saying, “Loyalty should be a two way street and we should be able to vote our conscience and represent our district’s interest because our job title is literally, ‘Representative.'”

Rep. Greene had additionally split with Republicans on the Epstein file release and had begun questioning Israel’s influence on the GOP.
The Georgia rep last week also said she’d been receiving death and bomb threats and pizza deliveries due to the rift with the president.
Following MTG’s declaration, Trump took a parting shot at her on Truth Social Saturday morning, writing, “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown, because of PLUMMETING Poll Numbers, and not wanting to face a Primary Challenger with a strong Trump Endorsement (where she would have no chance of winning!), has decided to call it ‘quits.'”

“Her relationship with the WORST Republican Congressman in decades, Tom Massie of Kentucky, also known as Rand Paul Jr. because he votes against the Republican Party (and really good legislation!), did not help her. For some reason, primarily that I refused to return her never ending barrage of phone calls, Marjorie went BAD. Nevertheless, I will always appreciate Marjorie, and thank her for her service to our Country! President DJT”.
