Image Credit: x.com/@ShawnRyanShow Charlie Kirk’s head of security opened up recently about what he witnessed the day the Turning Point founder was assassinated, highlighting suspicious circumstances and pushing back against theories that his team may have been compromised by foreign actors.
In a discussion with former Navy Seal Shawn Ryan, Brian Harpole described how his team had been assured by the Utah Valley University police chief they would be have the rooftops covered.
“…He says ‘You want uh access to the roof’ and come back and said uh ‘I was told students have access above us. If this is true, it would be nice to either have it controlled access or allow one of my guys to be there as well if possible.’ He comes back and his last correspondence was, ‘I got you covered.'”
“What else am I to do, when a command level uh person from an accredited police department says ‘I’ve got this area’?”
“That was the chief of police for the UVU police department. We’ve called him. He’s never called us back,” Harpole told Ryan, providing screenshots of the text exchange.

“Literally all they had to do is post anybody at that stairwell. Put a drone up, or let us let you do our job,” Harpole said, going on to urge a FOIA request for the police chief’s phone records.
Harpole said UVU police could have, but did not, request drone surveillance or a sniper overwatch, adding that his team’s role is limited to providing a “close protection bubble.”
Harpole said he did not have the authority to launch drones and that UVU police could have, but did not, request drone surveillance or a sniper overwatch. He added that Orem police nearby had a drone unit on standby and that his team’s role is limited to providing a “close protection bubble.”
The security head also vehemently denied any of his employees may have ties to foreign intelligence like Israel’s Mossad, saying, “I’ve been in 39 countries in this world and I’ve never been to Israel. I’m a firm Christian. I ask our guys, ‘Are you believers?’ We have no ties to Israel or Mossad or any other one. We’re Americans period.”
“I heard that bullet slap him,” Harpole also described, laying out in vivid detail how he in vain attempted to stop the blood pouring from Kirk’s neck.

“I initially dove down on top of him and just was on him almost face to face. And then when I was doing that, I went down, I could see the wound. And so I immediately shoved my hand into the wound to stop the bleeding, just trying to find the pressure.
“And it was coming out still and I’m on top of him, like, up close and it was still coming out enough that it, I guess, it squirted through my fingers and I could taste it on my lips. And so I was like, ‘Man, this is a bad wound.’ And so, I was just pushing that.”
Harpole told Ryan he remembered thinking at the time that an autopsy should immediately be conducted, saying, “We need to get this autopsy done and done right so that there’s not some conspiracy.”
The head of security also confronted rumors, confirming the autopsy showed no exit wound and that the bullet fragmented when it hit Kirk’s spine, as well as batting down theories about hand signals, equipment tampering, crowd involvement, and a trap door near the platform where Kirk spoke.
“If the bullet had hit bone at all, there is no bullet — it’s just fragmentation, and the doctor told us the bullet came in, tore up everything in the wound cavity, hit the vertebra, crushed it, and kept going down…" pic.twitter.com/Y7Ct13nuPf

On her show Wednesday, podcast host Candace Owens, who has been investigating the assassination, said if Harpole’s claims are true, then the bullet in question must not have been a 30-06 rifle round, as claimed, but a smaller caliber bullet.

At one point, Harpole also questioned whether shooting suspect Tyler Robinson was a “patsy.”

“After hearing Charlie Kirk’s head of security break it all down, what do you think the conspiracy crowd is cooking up next?” posted the Shawn Ryan Show official X account following the interview.
