Ghislaine Maxwell has been moved to a low-security prison in Texas following a meeting with the Department of Justice. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for helping disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein traffic and abuse underage girls.

Maxwell was moved from FIC Tallahassee to a federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas comes a week after she met with Deputy US Attorney General Todd Blanche, who questioned her about other people who may have been involved in Epstein’s crimes.

Maxwell’s lawyer confirmed the transfer but made no other comment.

On Friday, President Trump was asked again about whether a pardon is on the table for Maxwell. Trump replied, “I’m allowed to do it, but nobody’s asked me to do it,” and then added, “I know nothing about the case.”

The President was also asked about the meeting between Blanche and Maxwell. Trump said he believes Blanche “just wants to make sure innocent people aren’t hurt” if documents from the Epstein files are released.

Following her meeting with Blanche, Maxwell was seen returning to her cell with a large box.

President Trump has faced intense pressure to declassify and release materials relating to the Epstein case, after making it a campaign promise.

A number of his appointees, including Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel also promised to release new information, including Epstein’s so-called “client list,” but have since backtracked on their promises.

The Department of Justice is currently seeking court approval to release transcripts of testimony by law-enforcement officers who spoke before the grand juries that indicted Epstein and Maxwell. The government’s requests are currently being considered by federal judges in Manhattan.

Maxwell was found guilty in 2021 of grooming and recruiting girls for Epstein. She pled not guilty at her trial and is currently asking the US Supreme Court to overturn the verdict against her.
