New York Post columnist Lydia Moynihan joined Fox News this week to cast blame on podcasts for younger generations distrusting mainstream media and political establishment narratives.

“Podcasting began as a way to counter mainstream media… now it’s resulted in questioning everything from the moon landing to the holocaust,” she wrote on 𝕏.

Moynihan said the rise of podcasting “came from a good place” because people “were disillusioned with mainstream media” bias, but then “we went out of the frying pan, into the fryer.”

Now, she continued, many people are getting most of their news from podcast hosts who are “more entertainers than actual reporters or professionals trying to seek and verify truth before they share it with their audience.”

Meanwhile, millions of Americans get their news from late-night comedy shows that push establishment talking points despite the fact that the hosts are comedians and actual entertainers.

Admitting it’s “great to ask questions,” Moynihan said, “The uncertainty that people had about government during COVID” has now extended to “questioning the moon landing and the holocaust and embracing conspiracy theories wholeheartedly.”

Fox host Brian Kilmeade chimed in, adding, “And, you know, ‘Israel is behind all of our moves because someone said it on a podcast,'” also saying he runs into people who say things like, “‘The President of France’s wife is a man.'”

He then played a video clip of top podcaster Joe Rogan describing a 1950s government document plotting how to make the public more “docile and stupid.”

The conversation severely lacked awareness by blaming the people and platforms questioning Israel’s influence over the American government, or mainstream political narratives, instead of addressing the failures that have led to them being questioned in the first place.

Ironically, 19-year-old podcast host Brilyn Hollyhand joined Fox to join in on the podcast-bashing segment, suggesting cellphones are at fault for people getting their news from internet programs.

FBI whistleblower Kyle Seraphin wrote, “Can we please have a 19 yr old boy with no wife, no kids, no career, no experience growing up in the analog world tell the Fox News Boomer grandparents about how smart phones are bad please?”

Journalist Glenn Greenwald commented on the segment, writing, “Hilarious that many conservatives heralded podcasts and independent media as the Nation’s salvation: just a year ago when they helped Trump win. Now many of those podcasters criticize Israel and Trump’s captivity to it, so now they’re poison. Must trust corporate media again.”

The network news attack reeked of jealousy and realization that a majority of the American public no longer relies on the select few outlets spoon-feeding them lies hand delivered by their masters in Washington, D.C.
