The divide was laid out on Thursday by Newsweek senior editor Josh Hammer, who targeted so-called “retard right” anti-war commentators who have split with Trump on the issue.
In an eight-minute diatribe, Hammer – a former never-Trumper – defended the war while blasting Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and Candace Owens as “anti-American.”

An incident Friday further illustrated MAGA’s internal struggle, as speaker Matt Schlapp asked CPAC attendees if they’d like to see impeachment hearings, to which a surprising number cheered.
“No, that was the wrong answer,” Schlapp told the crowd.

CPAC was also split when talk show host Steve Bannon asked whether Trump should “finish the job” or quickly find an exit ramp in the war.

One young attendee who was interviewed by CNN claimed many of his friends who were previous Trump supporters were now done with the president.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, President Donald Trump will reportedly skip this year’s conference, marking the first time he’s done so in 10 years.
Another interesting moment unfolded when a process server attempted to hand My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell legal documents during a live interview, which he promptly chucked behind him.
