CNN anchor Jake Tapper went out of his way to make sure a guest on his program did not misgender the trans individual who shot up a Minnesota Catholic school on Wednesday.
23-year-old Robert, or Robin, Westman killed two people and injured 17 others in the horrific attack.

Tapper explained that there had “been some confusion about what the shooter’s name” was, explaining Westman’s mother applied in 2019 to change her child’s name from Robert to Robin.
“Since she identifies as a female and wants her name to reflect that identification, was underage, is now Robin Westman,” the CNN host told a guest.
Before bizarrely reinforcing the shooter’s gender identity, the mainstream media tried to conceal the fact that Westman was transgender.
Despite their efforts, the media failed to control the narrative about the shooting thanks to independent media and government whistleblowers quickly exposing facts about the suspect.
