Asked if he’s concerned about being raided by the Trump administration FBI, former Hillary Clinton attorney Marc Elias recently told MSNBC he is “absolutely” concerned.
“Look, I was Hillary Clinton’s general counsel in 2016 and for that privilege, and it was a genuine of representing Secretary Clinton, Donald Trump created an entire criminal investigation that John Durham ran that went after me and others. It didn’t indict me, it didn’t indict others who got acquitted, but he has threatened essentially to bring that back,” Elias stated.

“In 2020, I represented Joe Biden and the Democratic Party in defeating Donald Trump more than 60 times in court. What does Donald Trump think about the 2020 election? He thinks it was a big fraud and he has ruminated about criminal investigations of those of us who protected free and fair elections,” he added.
The top Democrat lawyer continued, “And now, I am obviously a very outspoken critic and I’ve caught his attention in a number of ways because I refuse to back down and be intimidated by him.”
He said that everyone who has “accepted the responsibility to tell the truth” and “accepted the potential consequences that Donald Trump will target” them must be prepared to be punished.
Referring to the recent raid of ex-National Security Advisor John Bolton’s home, Elias said he doesn’t even care what the charges are and expressed frustration that the Washington Post wants to see what evidence is presented in the case.
“That’s all a bunch of nonsense,” Elias told MSNBC viewers. “What we all need to be saying is that John Bolton is being targeted because he is a political opponent of Donald Trump and Donald Trump targets his political opponents. I don’t care or need to know what the allegations are to know that this is the abuse and misuse of government power.”
Former Trump administration Department of Homeland Security Deputy Chief of Staff Miles Taylor also made an appearance on MSNBC over the weekend where he made similar comments about the White House engaging in “a revenge campaign.”
Essentially, the new Democrat narrative is that Americans should ignore any potential crimes committed by the Deep State individuals who are currently being targeted and will be prosecuted in the future because the whole operation is simply a political reckoning by President Trump.
Of course, the left and mainstream media ignore the extreme weaponization of government against conservatives and pro-Trump personalities during the Obama and Biden administrations.
That’s not to say what President Trump is doing is simply a response to prior government weaponization as the people he’s going after have engaged in rampant criminality, but the hypocrisy is worth noting.
As Alex Jones has been telling his audience for the past week, Bolton isn’t the only major Deep State player the Trump administration is going to hold accountable as several more prominent establishment thugs are rumored to be brought before grand juries in the coming days and weeks.
