Image Credit: Terrell County Sheriff's Office Authorities in a remote West Texas county responded to several 911 calls from illegal aliens lost in the desert on Thursday night.
The Terrell County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) responded to the first call and were able to locate a 21-year-old male from Guanajuato, Mexico.
The Mexican was taken into custody and turned over to U.S. Border Patrol.
The second 911 call presented a steeper challenge.
A TCSO deputy, working alongside a U.S. Border Patrol agent, walked for miles trying to locate the subject.
Eventually they found a 34-year-old Mexican man who had been abandoned by a human smuggler after becoming too dehydrated to walk.
The deputy and agent proceeded to carry the Mexican for “several miles” over terrain too hazardous even for specialized vehicles.
“We have limited resources out in this area and the helicopter doesn’t typically fly at night,” Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland told InfoWars.
“UTVs and even ATVs won’t work in this area, as it’s mountainous and covered in cactus, brush, and mesquite.”
The Mexican was subsequently transported by Terrell County Emergency Medical Services to a local hospital.
“In a debate where Border Patrol agents are frequently demonized, scenes like this are rarely shown: an agent and one of my deputies carrying a migrant who couldn’t walk, reminding us that humanity often appears where people least expect it,” Sheriff Cleveland stated.
