During a recent Portland, Oregon, anti-ICE protest, Antifa militants shined spotlights into the eyes of DHS agents stationed on a roof who were firing pepper rounds at the unruly domestic terrorists, and Portland police officers stood guard for the leftist agitators!
Journalist Nick Sortor, who was recently attacked by the far-left commies and arrested by Portland PD before having his charges dropped, filmed as Antifa took cover behind officers and shined bright lights into DHS agents’ faces.

When a DHS officer confronted the local cops and told them the Antifa culprit was “literally running behind” them for cover, a Portland police sergeant claimed he didn’t know why the face-covered radical leftist was running.
Of course, the police could clearly see the activists were trying to hide from DHS pepper and rubber bullet fire while shining spotlights at the federal agents.
In addition to blocking the lefties from non-lethal DHS rounds, PPD also allowed the suspects to flee the scene.
Sortor wrote on 𝕏, “SHAMEFUL. Something MUST be done with Portland Police NOW!”

This type of local law enforcement standdown and protection of Antifa is exactly why President Trump is trying to send in National Guard troops to defend DHS and ICE officials trying to deport illegal aliens, which is what the American people voted for in the 2024 election.
AP reports, “An appeals court on Monday put on hold a lower-court ruling that kept President Donald Trump from taking command of 200 Oregon National Guard troops. However, Trump is still barred from actually deploying those troops, at least for now.”
